Our Kikkoman Yuzu Ponzu Sauce is made from whole crushed Japanese yuzu fruits. This nutrient-rich citrus fruit has been cultivated in Asia for thousands of years, enriching Japanese cuisine, especially as a yuzu sauce - fresh, fruity and at the same time aromatic and savoury, thanks to its high umami content.
Just like our Kikkoman Ponzu Lemon, Yuzu Ponzu sauce is also ideal for refining a wide variety of dishes. With its subtle flavour, Kikkoman Yuzu Ponzu Sauce complements hot pots, salads, boiled or steamed dishes and grilled fish, and it’s even perfect as a dip.
Compared to Kikkoman Ponzu Lemon, our Yuzu Ponzu Sauce is less sweet. Its refreshing tartness, however, delivers an equally intense flavour, making it a truly authentic taste of Japanese cuisine!
For those who prefer a hint of sweetness, simply use Kikkoman Ponzu Lemon instead of Kikkoman Yuzu Ponzu Sauce. No matter which version you opt for - both are of course vegan!
