

Carrot-millet patties & cucumber salad
These carrot-millet patties are a wholesome twist on classic meat patties, paired with a cool, creamy cucumber salad—simple, delicious, and nourishing!
Preparation
Step 1

100 g millet
Rinse the millet in cold water and then pour boiling water over it. Cook in twice as much water for 12 minutes until all the water has been absorbed.
Step 2

1 large carrot – 1 egg – 50 g breadcrumbs – 1 tsp pepper – 1 tsp ground spicy paprika – 1 garlic clove – 2 tbsp Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp olive oil
Finely grate the carrot and mix with the cooked, cooled millet, egg and breadcrumbs. Season with the pepper, paprika, pressed garlic and Kikkoman Less Salt Soy Sauce. Form into small patties and fry in olive oil on both sides.
Step 3

1 long cucumber – 4 tbsp natural yoghurt – 1 tbsp olive oil – 1 tbsp Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp chopped spring onions – 1 tbsp chopped dill
In the meantime, prepare the cucumber salad. Slice the cucumber thinly. Mix with the yoghurt and olive oil. Season with Kikkoman Less Salt Soy Sauce, spring onions and dill. Serve with the patties.
