Crispy fried potato wedges with spicy garlic soy sauce
Ingredients for 4 portions
- 6 large cloves of garlic
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 6 tbsp. Kikkoman naturally brewed soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 8 medium-sized potatoes
- approx. 4 tbsp. flour for dusting
- 4-6 sprigs of parsley
Preparation
Peel the garlic cloves, cut one into thin slices, fry in hot oil and drain on kitchen roll. Put the other cloves in a pan of water and bring to the boil. Change the water and bring to the boil again. Leave to cool, then grate finely.
Combine the grated garlic, soy sauce and sugar.
Wash the potatoes thoroughly, cook them so that they are still slightly firm, dab dry, cut into wedges and dust with flour. Fry the potato wedges in the hot oil, garnish with parsley and serve with the sauce as a dip. You can also serve with mixed bean sprouts/cress if you like.
