Teriyaki Marinade
If you enjoy grilled, fried or braised meat or vegetables in a savoury marinade, Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade is perfect for you.
Our Teriyaki sauce is very popular as a barbecue marinade, but it’s also great for enhancing the flavour of fried foods or as a dip. Teriyaki Marinade has a distinctively rich flavour because our Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce is the basis.
Teriyaki is a combination of the two Japanese words “teri” (glaze) and “yaki” (to grill or braise). The Japanese have been preparing traditional teriyaki-style foods for generations.
First of all the seafood, meat or vegetables are put into a teriyaki marinade before they are fried, braised or grilled. Classic teriyaki sauces have a sweet-savoury flavour that adds a special taste dimension to foods cooked in the pan, in the oven or on the barbecue. And teriyaki isn’t just for the Japanese cuisine! Teriyaki sauces are also ideal as a seasoning for traditional pan-fried, oven-baked or grilled foods from all over the world.
The Kikkoman Teriyaki sauces are premium-quality ready-to-use marinades. They are available in various flavours: pure and delicious as Teriyaki Marinade, with roasted garlic, honey or toasted sesame – and there’s also a gluten-free version. Give them a try! They're a great way to incorporate new flavours into marinated and grilled foods.
This Kikkoman sauce is suitable for vegans.

Did you know?
Teriyaki Marinade is a premium ready-to-use marinade. All you have to do is unscrew the lid, marinate the food for at least 30 minutes and then cook it on the barbecue. A useful tip: The longer you marinate the food, the more tender it is and the more intense the flavour.
Our tip for salmon lovers
Marinate a salmon fillet in our Teriyaki Marinade for a good hour in the fridge, then fry it on each side for a few minutes. If you want a more intense flavour, brush the salmon with the marinade during the cooking process. Serve the finished result with ginger and rice.
