October 2020. The V-Label provides welcome guidance and clarity for vegan consumers in many European countries during their daily shop because only products that contain no animal ingredients whatsoever are allowed to use it.
Three Kikkoman soy sauces have been officially licenced to carry the coveted V-Label in Europe by the independent European Vegetarian Union (EVU) after a stringent testing and selection process.
They are Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce, Naturally Brewed Less Salt Soy Sauce and Tamari Gluten-free Soy Sauce. Kikkoman decided to obtain the V-Label so that its soy sauce fans could get important at-a-glance information that helps them make shopping decisions, and it is planning to have other sauces in the range V-Label certified in the near future.
Kikkoman is embracing a key food trend with the V-Label seal of quality for vegan food products because an increasing number of people throughout Europe are choosing a vegan way of life.
The Kikkoman team has also developed some delicious recipes for fans of vegetarian and vegan food. They’re incredibly simple to make and incorporate trendy ingredients such as edamame, broccoli, cauliflower, pumpkin, sweet potato and tofu, adding panache and variety to any vegan diet. Check out the new vegan recipes here. And make sure you give them a try. You’ll love them!
The certified products will feature the V-Label from October 2020 onwards, but the recipe hasn’t changed so the products you can buy right now are also vegan. The time of availability may vary depending on the country.
