Kikkoman, the world's largest producer of Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce has been making soy sauce for over 300 years. The liquid soy sauce is manufactured in the Netherlands and the dehydrating process is completed in Germany.



Production process

At Kikkoman, we start the fermentation process by carefully selecting four natural ingredients – water, soy, wheat and salt – and add a proprietary starter culture. No artificial additives are added during the whole process. The beautiful colour, flavour, aroma and rich savoury taste (Umami) are the result of the strictly controlled brewing process over several months.
