Ponzu is a soy sauce with a fine citrus flavour and one of the most popular seasoning sauces in Japan. It tastes deliciously tart and tangy, enhancing the flavour of all kinds of dishes. Our Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce is based on Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce.
Versatile in use
Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce is the perfect seasoning for many different foods. It jazzes up summery salad dressings and enriches the taste of pasta, vegetables and tofu. Add it to the food straight from the bottle or mix it with a little oil to create a delicious Asian vinaigrette. As a dip sauce Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce can be eaten with sushi, sashimi, deep-fried seafood and other types of finger food. In remoulades it tastes great with fresh fish. Or add a splash of pure Ponzu to finished barbecued steak for a fresh flavour explosion! And it’s also delicious as a marinade for chicken kebabs. Last, but not least, it adds the finishing touch to Japanese specialities such as shabu-shabu, a kind of fondue.
