Less salt in meals

Do you want to reduce your salt intake but still enjoy seasoning your food? That’s easy with our naturally brewed soy sauces and it was recently confirmed in a study conducted by Wageningen UR Food & Biobased Research. The study involved tests in which salt was replaced by soy sauce in salad dressings, tomato soup and on fried meat. Results showed that the testers liked the flavour of the foods despite they’re up to 35% lower in salt content. In fact, the flavour was actually improved by the soy sauce.

Take care of your health

The World Health Organization (WHO) also recommends using less salt in foods. Five grams or a level teaspoon per day is the maximum recommended intake. Too much salt increases the risk of high blood pressure and cardio-vascular diseases. Reducing the salt content of the food you eat by 30 percent makes an important contribution to health.
