Honey & Garlic Steak with Cucumber and Radish Salad

Score the surface of the steak on both sides. Place in a bowl and add the Kikkoman Honey and Garlic Marinade, coating all over the steak and leave to marinade for at least 1 hour. To make the salad, peel the cucumber into ribbons using a potato peeler, discarding the seeded core since this will become very watery. Place the cucumber in a dish. Slice the radish as thinly as you can and add to the cucumber. Mix together the chilli, vinegar and sugar and drizzle over the salad. Cover and chill until needed. Brush the griddle with a little oil and heat to smoking point. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, this will give a medium rare steak, cook for a little longer if you prefer. Serve the steak with the cucumber and radish salad and roasted tomatoes.

  • > 1/2 cucumber
  • > 1/2 x 150 g pack of radishes
  • > 1/2 red chili, deseeded and finely chopped
  • > 3 tbsp. rice vingear
  • > 1 tsp. sugar
