Aromatic Pork with Red Pepper Broth
To prepare the pork, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and star anise in a large dish, add the pork chops and leave to marinate in the fridge for a couple of hours, turning occasionally. Meanwhile make the broth. Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and simmer over a low heat for around 30 minutes. Remove from the heat and blend to reach a smooth consistency. When ready to cook, place chops under a pre-heated grill for 10-15 minutes, turning halfway through cooking time. Serve each chop with the broth and a bowl of jasmine rice.
